Sound & Vision is a two-day artist development event connecting Austin’s most promising emerging musicians with nationally recognized music industry professionals for live performance, mentorship, networking, and career development. On September 4, selected artists will perform before music business experts and a live audience at Antone’s. On September 5, they’ll participate in live roundtable consultations and a public panel discussion. Each participating artist will also receive a private consultation with Daydream Believer Creative and a follow-up consultation with one of the guest panelists. Designed to foster meaningful industry connections, Sound & Vision gives Austin artists direct access to career guidance, honest feedback, and national networks. Celebrate The Music of Elvis Costello & MTF’s Ninth Anniversary!
It’s the celebration of our ninth anniversary and the music of Elvis Costello with performances by MTF beneficiaries and friends! We’ll be displaying our fantastic auction items, a few from our past benefits along with a few items from our donors. Please join us!
Elvis Costello is our founding director and we’re so grateful that he has shared so much of his music with us and performed for MTF’s benefit. Now, it’s our turn to celebrate him with a tribute show of performances by MTF-assisted musicians: Allan Mayes, Barbara Nesbitt, Hilary York, Nick Adamo, Phil Hurley & Robert Kraft.
Joining some of them will be local greats Kyle Albrecht, GR Chiappe, Matt Hubbard, & Danny Piccuirro.
Host Kevin Connor of Sun Radio will guide us through the afternoon of EC hits, deep cuts, and classic covers, and our auction of special items, including ones signed by Elvis Costello! Since Fall 2017 MTF has helped hundreds of musicians receive upper limb orthopedic care valued at over $4,000,000. We invite you to stay after the finale and see who wins the auction items, meet our artist-beneficiaries, and chat with a few of us. Your support will keep the music playing for us all!
