Antone’s 50th Anniversary

Austin City Limits will celebrate 50 years of the blues and our own 50th anniversary with a special taping, “ACL and Antone’s Celebrate the Blues” on April  28, featuring an all-star lineup of blues standouts.

We’re teaming up with our friends at WFMU for a FREE Antone’s 50th Super Blues Party at The Bowery Electric on Saturday, June 28, presented by Visit Austin.

In celebration of Antone’s Golden anniversary, Lincoln Center will host the All-Stars for a once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza performance exposing the rich history of Texan blues and soul music. This event is free and open to the public as a part of Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City Series.

Join us on September 10th for an official AMERICANAFEST Super Blues Party at The ’58 Eastside Bowl featuring Lurrie Bell, Kam Franklin, John Primer, Derek O’Brien, Mike Buck + surprise guests!

Our second stop in Nashville during AMERICANAFEST will be at The Blue Room at Third Man Records on September 11th! This event will start with never-before-seen archival footage, followed by a panel discussion and an Antone’s 50th Allstars live performance.
